Bond was set at $30,000 for a Lenoir man. 43 year old Brandon David Earp faces felony speeding to elude arrest among other charges. He and a female passenger were reported asleep in their vehicle by workers at a Marathon gas station on Lenoir Rd in Morganton. Deputies with the Burke County Sheriff’s Office found a butane torch, glass pipe and naloxane in the car. After speeds of 130 mph while driving to Caldwell County, stop sticks were used and he was arrested on Connelly Springs Rd. He was taken into custody with a court date set for April 18th.
A Burke County man is charged in Caldwell County. 40 year old Frank Anthony Elliot of Connelly Springs was arrested by Caldwell authorities. He faces felony possession of methamphetamine among other charges. He was placed in the Caldwell County Detention Center under a $12,000 bond. His next court date is set for April 27th.
