Two people were injured in an Alexander County plane crash. The NC Highway Patrol responded around 720pm Saturday to Smith Farm Rd near US 64. A single engine plane had crashed in a wooded area. The 2 passengers were taken to Atrium Health in Charlotte with non-life-threatening injuries. The FAA is now investigating.
