The name of the motorcyclist killed last week has been released. 27 year old Jason Poteet, died at the scene around 815pm Thursday at the intersection of Kirksey Drive and Lenoir Road in Morganton. A car pulled out in front of Poteet. That driver was 27 year old Michael Ray Patterson, he was charged with misdemeanor death by vehicle, no operators license and failure to yield left turn. The Morganton Department of Public Safety were on the scene.
