Fire destroyed a home in Burke County early Tuesday. Several departments responded to the residence in the Icard area on Virginia Pine Circle and were on the scene for a few hours. According to reports, neighbors helped to get the residents out. Two of the three occupants had disabilities. The fire is still under investigation. The Red Cross is assisting the family.
