Legal action is now being taken concerning the wooden arches collapse in Hickory. The city is suing the contractor Neill Grading and Construction along with the subcontractor Dane Construction, and the arch builder Western Wood Structures. The suit alleges negligence. The arches over the Rudy Wright Bridge collapsed on February 18th. Damages are listed over $25,000, the cost of the City Walk arches was $750,000.
