A murder suspect has been taken into custody. 22 year old Nolan Andre Smith was taken into custody after a vehicle stop on I40 Thursday. He is wanted in connection to the murder of 35 year old Jonathan Carl Ross, who was pronounced dead on Spaniel St in Connelly Springs April 22nd. Smith has no convictions but has multiple other pending charges in Catawba county, he was arrested in Burke county.
