An Ohio man is facing charges in Catawba County. 32 year old Darius Lamont Smith was arrested by Newton Police. He faces possession of methamphetamine, concealed weapon and resisting a public officer charges. He was placed in the Catawba County Detention Facility under a $3,000 bond. A court date is set for today.
