The Caldwell County Animal Control is caring for an emu. The second largest living bird type was taken into custody by Lenoir Police on Saturday. The bird came to Eastwood Park Drive and was placed on a leash and fed by hand to a fenced in area until animal control arrived. The owners are from Morovian Falls nearly 30 miles Northeast of Lenoir.
