A stabbing death in Hickory is under investigation. 37 year old Brandon Scott Willis was found at a 2nd Ave SE residence with several stab wounds, he later died at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center. Hickory Police had responded to the scene after a 911 call reporting an altercation outside. Investigators said witnesses reported Willis was involved in a verbal altercation with two men in a vehicle at that address. Later Willis knocked one of them down and assaulted him, the individual stabbed Willis during the fight and then called 911. No charges have been filed at this time.
