The name has been released in a fatal wreck from Sunday. 44 year old James Darrell Roten of N Wilkesboro died at the scene. The NC Highway Patrol responded to the wreck on Abington Rd in Caldwell County. The driver of a Ford Thunderbird ran off the road hitting a tree and overturning the vehicle. Another passenger, 27 year old Timberly Yelton was taken to Caldwell Memorial Hospital with non life threatening injuries. The driver, 21 year old Ethan Trent Roten was not injured. He is charged with misdemeanor death by vehicle and driving while license revoked. The wreck is under investigation.
