UNC Health Blue Ridge is expanding in Valdese. Project Forward will feature a cancer center to the left of the Valdese Hospital. A groundbreaking was held yesterday. The new center will include areas for medical and radiation oncology exam, infusion therapy and treatment, consultation and treatment and two new linear accelerators. The facility will be 34,272 square feet. UNC Health will invest $156 million into the construction with a completion date set for August of 2023.
