Identity theft charges were filed against a Hickory man. 29 year old Jarrell Tyshon Powell was arrested by Catawba County Sheriff’s officers. He also faces trafficking in opium or heroin among other various charges. He was placed in the Catawba County Detention Facility under a $30,060 bond. His court dates are set for June 9th and July 25th.
Bond was set at $60,000 for a methamphetamine arrest. 41 year old Robert William Owens was arrested by Morganton Department of Public Safety officers. He faces felony possession of methamphetamine and a failure to appear charge. He was placed in jail with a court date set for June 13th.
