The name has been released of a pedestrian killed on Saturday. 62 year old Susan Messer Shew was struck in a traffic accident around 1030pm on Blowing Rock Blvd near the Red Roof Inn. Police report Ms Shew stepped out into the road. She was pronounced dead at the scene. No charges have been filed.
