$50,000 Bond/$250,000 Bonds

Bond was set at $50,000 for a Lenoir man.  29 year old Michael Andrew Williams was arrested by Lenoir Police.  He faces felony larceny of a motor vehicle.  He was placed in the Caldwell County Detention Center.  A court date was set for today.

On 06/10/22 at approximately 12:43 pm the Department of Social Services, Child Protective Services (CPS) received an anonymous complaint in reference to an alleged felonious abuse of children. The allegations indicated that Natalie “Shane” Childress of 6583 Gold Creek Road, Connelly Spring had intentionally struck children in her care and control with a pair of metal knuckles, inflicting serious physical injury. CPS investigator(s) attempted to make contact with the mother of the children, Jessica Renee Sanders, at the residence in order to conduct an immediate assessment of the alleged abuse. Sanders indicated to CPS Investigators that the children were not on the premises. Pursuant to CPS requesting assistance from the Burke County Sheriff’s Office, deputies located the children hiding at the scene. Due to the children’s injures, deputies requested EMS and the Burke County Criminal Investigation’s Division. The children were transported to UNC Health Valdese and then to a Children’s Hospital Abuse/Trauma Center. Subsequent to Burke County CID and CPS investigators interviews, Natalie Childress and Jessica Sanders were arrested and transported to the Burke County Magistrate. They were arraigned on the above charges and received $250,000.00 secured bonds.
