One man has died after a single vehicle wreck in Catawba County. NC State Highway Patrol responded to Startown Road near West Maiden Road on Tuesday. The driver Billie Douglas Gambill was driving a truck hauling gravel, he ran off the road, crossed the center line and overturned. He was taken to an area hospital and died from the injuries. He was wearing a seatbelt. Driver overcorrection was the preliminary finding of the investigation.
