Catawba Valley Community College will have a new workforce facility at the Hickory Regional Airport and the Hickory Aviation Museum will have a new home. The city council approved $1.2 million for an architectural firm. The cost of the project will be $22 million. $15 million was appropriated last year in the state budget. $3.6 million for the aviation museum has been raised with further fundraising underway. The building will be located at the Hickory Airport.
