A ribbon cutting was held yesterday at the Hickory Airport. Officials from Hickory and Burke County celebrated the opening of a new 12,000 square foot hanger. The cost of the project was $1.5 million. The airport is located near LP Frans Stadium off Hwy 321 in Hickory.
