Over 100 jobs are coming to Caldwell County. MDI will be adding 250,000 square feet to its facilities in Caldwell County. The announcement came from Gov Cooper’s Office. The parent company of MDI, Alex Lee Inc was founded in Hickory and is headquartered there. MDI will invest $35 million bringing 125 jobs paying just under $60,000 per year on average. The company is a wholesale grocery distributor.
