RALEIGH – $100 million has been allocated to North Carolina to alleviate the busy and congested area of traffic between I-85 between Charlotte and South Carolina. According to a press release from Governor Roy Cooper, the busy section of road will go from six lanes to eight lanes. Areas will be dedicated for pedestrian and bicycle traffic and will have electric vehicle charging stations.
