HICKORY – Construction will resume on Friday, Oct. 7 at 7 p.m. on the southbound U.S. 321 Bridge over the Catawba River. The North Carolina Department of Transportation press release stated that both directions of traffic will be placed in a one-lane pattern on the U.S. 321 North bridge over the lake.
According to NCDOT, this weekend’s bridge construction should complete the construction project.
Drivers should anticipate changes in traffic patterns as well as delays and should use caution in the area.
