The Hickory Police Department’s November traffic enforcement Pay Attention in City Traffic or “PACT” will be observed in two locations next month. The first location will be in Edward PACT at 7th Avenue SW from 4th Street SW to 9th Street SW. The second will be in Baker PACT at 12th Street NE from Highland Avenue NE to 13th Avenue NE. Enforcement will focus on following too closely, distracted driving, speeding, and other traffic violations. All citizens utilizing City of Hickory roadways are asked to remain alert and obey all traffic laws to ensure the safety of all motorists, cyclists, and pedestrians. The Hickory Police Department thanks the citizens of Hickory for their effort to help keep our city safe.
