The N.C. Department of Transportation has temporarily closed Lynn Mountain Road at the bridge near Gracie Lane in Catawba County. Crews will perform maintenance on the bridge, which is scheduled to reopen December 22. A detour takes drivers from Lynn Mountain Road to N.C. 10, to Rhoney Farm Road, and then back to Lynn Mountain Road. The NCDOT website says that the road work will be continuous during this time period and also says that the expected impact to traffic is low. You can see details on this closing at drive.nc.gov.
