Starting this week, state contract crews plan to close a bridge on North Oliver’s Cross Road over Maiden Creek in Catawba County for several months. The road is set to close at 8 a.m. this Wednesday the 4th, and is scheduled to reopen in September 2023. A signed detour following N. Oliver’s Cross Road, to Buffalo Shoals Road, to N.C. 16 will be in place as this project continues. Motorists are reminded to slow down and remain alert when approaching the work zone.
