On Thursday the 12th, the first manufacturing business broke ground in Burke Business Park. UNIX Packaging LLC announced they were opening a plant in Burke County, which is expected to generate over 150 new jobs. UNIX specializes in making functional beverages, carbonated soft drinks, dietary supplements, purified and enhanced waters, alkaline waters, as well as kombucha and teas.
