On Tuesday, January 31, Blake Thomas Norman, 32, of Mount Olive Church Road in Morganton, was arrested by Morganton Public Safety Officers and charged with two felony counts: possession of burglary tools and possession of a stolen vehicle. The incident occurred shortly before 3:30 p.m. when a Public Safety Officer responded to a call at Carbon City Road that a stolen vehicle had been located by its owner. The vehicle, a 1991 Toyota pickup truck, was stopped in a driveway at the address on Carbon City Road, leading to Norman’s arrest. At the time of writing, Norman remains in custody at the Burke County Jail with a $10,000 secured bond. He is due to appear in District Court in Morganton today.
