On February 2, 2023, Caldwell County Sheriff’s Office ICE Unit executed a drug search warrant. The suspect, Chucky Glen Sumlin, was taken into custody without incident. Agents conducted a search of the home and found approximately 35 grams of Methamphetamine, a .22 caliber rifle. The Methamphetamine was worth $5200. Sumlin was incarcerated in the Caldwell County Detention Center under a $100,000 secured bond and had a first appearance in District Court on February 2, 2022. The Caldwell County Sheriff’s Office is always seeking information regarding the use and distribution of illegal controlled substances.
