Man Arrested for Strangulation

46-year-old Stewart Brandon Mullins of Stony Point was arrested and charged with multiple felonies and misdemeanors on Monday, March 6 by the Alexander County Sheriff’s Officers. Mullins had violated a domestic violence protection order with a deadly weapon, committed multiple counts of domestic violence protection order violation, and domestic criminal trespass. Additionally, Mullins had broken & entered a property, committed larceny after breaking & entering, and assault by strangulation. Mullins had previously been convicted and was on probation while committing these offenses. His past criminal history dates back to 2009, with prior convictions for felony larceny, possession of a firearm by a felon, and misdemeanor driving while license revoked. Mullins is currently being held in the Alexander County Detention Center under $125,000 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in District and Superior Court for the charges related to his most recent arrest.
