Lincolnton police said they learned about the first accusation in February, which involved a student at Battleground Elementary School, and an investigation led to three more alleged victims.
29-year-old Brittain Lee Nichols has been charged with 12 counts of taking indecent liberties with a student and 12 counts of taking indecent liberties with a child. He was arrested yesterday and placed in the Lincoln County Jail under a $150,000 bond. He has also since resigned from the school system.
