Hickory Police increases Traffic Enforcement

The Hickory Police Department will be holding June’s Traffic Enforcement called P.A.C.T, which stands for Pay Attention to City Traffic. This effort will be set up on Highway 70 South East from 2nd Street to Fairgrove Church Road South East. Offices will be focusing their enforcement on distracted driving, racing, speeding, and red light violations. Pedestrians are also being encouraged to cross streets safely by using marked crosswalks. The Hickory Police Department reminds motorists to pay attention when behind the wheel and stay alert for safety.
