The Catawba Board of Commissioners adopted a budget for the next fiscal year at the meeting on Monday night. The budget is just under $300 million dollars and goes into effect July 1st. Commissioners set a tax value at $39.95 per $100 of valuation and a 30.7% reduction of the current tax rate. There was a focused effort on putting support towards Law Enforcement and Emergency Services, Education and Economic Development.
