The City of Morganton Main Street Department has received national accreditation from the North Carolina Main Street and Rural Planning Center. To be eligible for the award, programs have to demonstrate a commitment to grassroots revitalization programs, develop strong private/public partnerships, nurture economic opportunities for small businesses and actively preserving historic places, spaces, and cultural assets.
