The Burke County Sheriff’s department reports arresting a man on numerous drug charges. 38-year-old Melvin Woodrow Wilson of Morganton has been charged with 6 felony drug charges, two additional felonies, and two misdemeanor charges. These charges stem from a search warrant that was issued and executed last week. Wilson was jailed under a $335,000 bond. Sheriff’s deputies and public safety officers say they seized 46 grams of meth, 5 grams of fentanyl, an undisclosed amount of cash, 1 semi-automatic pistol, 2 revolvers, 1 ar-15 and 1 22 caliber rifle along with other drug related items. Two additional suspects were detained for an investigation that is ongoing.
