The Lenoir police department has given an update on the officer involved shooting that occurred on Tuesday June 13. Police say the officer involved in the shooting has been identified as Sgt. Brandon MacLeod, and he remains on administrative leave pending the outcome of the state bureau of investigation’s investigation of this incident. Sgt. Macleod has been with the Lenoir police department since 2010. The victim in this incident has been identified as Shellabell Tester. Lenoir police are also conducting an internal investigation into this incident as well.
