Blue Ridge Electric Membership Corporation held their annual meeting yesterday, part of which was the election to the Board of Directors. Elected to 3-year terms were David Eggers from the Caldwell district, Tom Trexler from the Watauga district, David Boone from the Ashe district and Johnny Wishon from the Alleghany district. Nearly 6,000 members voted to elect those representatives. Blue ridge electric also reports returning 5.8 million dollars in capital credits to members in May. Blue Ridge Electric says they have returned over million dollars in capital credits to members for the last several years.
