A suspected shooting death in Burke County is under investigation. On June 26 the Burke County Sheriff’s Office responded to a disturbance on McDowell Church Road where shots were fired. Upon arrival, deputies found 39-year-old Keith Edward May with what appeared to be gunshot wounds.
May was pronounced dead at the scene by Burke EMS. At this time, the investigation is pending review from the District Attorney’s Office.
