Hickory Police arrested a man following a shooting within the city limits. 38-year-old Anwar Vanchass Powell was charged with assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill or inflict serious injury, possession of a firearm by a felon and discharging a weapon inside the city limits. Powell was jailed under a $100,000 bond.
