Amanda Lasley has been chosen as the new superintendent of South Mountains State Park, according to the North Carolina Division of Parks and Recreation. Lasley takes the helm after longtime superintendent Jonathan Griffith retired earlier this year. Lasley, a Kentucky native, has been a ranger at South Mountains since 2012, after serving as a ranger at Jordan Lake State Recreation Area in Chatham County.
