Griffin to Lead Hickory Schools

The Hickory City Board of Education has announced a new superintendent of schools. On Aug. 1, Dr. Jennifer Griffin will succeed Dr. Bryan Taylor, who is retiring after serving two years as Superintendent for Hickory Public Schools and more than 30 years as an educator in North Carolina.
Griffin has more than 25 years of education experience in North Carolina and currently serves as the Middle School and Fine Arts Director for Catawba County Schools. She previously served as principal of Oakwood Elementary, Grandview Middle School and as a K-12 Curriculum Specialist for Hickory City Schools.
