On Tuesday, Morganton Public Safety responded to Bridge 42 Church at 107 Calvin Heights Drive in reference to a Breaking and Entering in progress. While Morganton Public Safety Officers were searching the church, Gene Edward Rowe was located hiding inside a locked bathroom in the basement.
Rowe was transported to the Burke County Magistrate’s Office where he was charged with Misdemeanor Breaking and Entering, Resist Obstruct and Delay, and Damage to Property. Rowe received a $10,000 secure bond and a court date of Aug. 11.
