Burke Schools Announce Vaping Policy

Burke County Public Schools has announced a new anti-vaping policy. Students caught vaping or with vaping paraphernalia face three days of in-school suspension for the first offense and out-of-school suspensions of 1 to 10 days or longer for each subsequent offense. The school also confiscates students’ vaping products and they have to enroll in a “stop vaping” program. The first day of school for Burke County students will be Monday, Aug. 28.
