According to The Taylorsville Times, furniture manufacturer Mitchell Gold + Bob Williams posted signs at the Taylorsville plant Saturday announcing that the company will be unable to continue operations. The notice instructs employees at the plants in Taylorsville, Hiddenite and Statesville, as well as home office workers, not to report to work on Monday.
In a letter to employees Mitchell Gold + Bob Williams interim CEO Chris Moye said the company was unable to secure critical financing to continue business operations and will need to wind down operations and terminate employees beginning August 26. A Facebook post on Saturday from company co-founder Mitchell Gold says “Still working on solutions … but” with a photo of a broken heart.
