Western Piedmont Community College will host the Grand Opening of the Regional Skilled Trades Solution Center today (Sept. 19) from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. The Breaking Through Barriers Celebration will begin at 4:30 p.m. followed by tours and hands-on labs. Among the programs that will be offered at the new facility are: plumbing, masonry, electrical, HVAC, carpentry and green construction.

Caldwell Community College and Technical Institute’s Associate in Fine Arts – Music Program will host a Performing Artist Concert Series this fall with several free events on campus featuring a variety of artists and musical genres. The first show will feature the Swingbillies of Boonetown at 1 p.m. today (Sept. 19) in B-100 on the CCC&TI campus in Hudson.
