A Charlotte man was killed Saturday night in Conover on 1st Street West near Deborah Herman Road. 25-year-old Dustin Tyler Hagler died at the scene after driving his motorcycle off the side of the road and striking a utility pole and tree. According to the North Carolina Highway Patrol, excessive speed was a factor in the crash.
