Investigators with the Long View Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Division have charged 31-year-old Emandalae Diontae Tolbert, 33-year-old Anthony Maurice Tucker, 33-year-old Jamar Quarmaine Propst and 33-year-old Pierre Demond Ramseur with the 2008 murder of then 26-year-old Jeter Edward Greene Jr. On Oct. 3, 2008, Greene was found dead inside his Eddie’s Masonry work van in Long View.
The investigation was eventually assigned cold case status. In 2020, Long View re-opened the case with help from the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation. A Catawba County grand jury indicted the four men last week. Each are charged with murder, robbery with a dangerous weapon and conspiracy to commit robbery with a dangerous weapon.
