Conover Man Convicted on Multiple Charges


The District Attorney’s Office recently announced that 32-year-old Terry Kenneth Ross Jr. of Conover will serve 11 to 14 years in prison following his conviction on multiple drug offenses and other crimes. Ross pleaded guilty to two counts of trafficking methamphetamine, two counts of conspiracy to traffic methamphetamine, possession with intent to manufacture, sell, deliver methamphetamine and maintaining a vehicle/dwelling/place for a controlled substance. In addition, he pleaded guilty to first-degree burglary and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. The defendant’s sentence was lengthened by prior felony convictions for drug crimes in Wilkes County and Alexander County. In addition to the prison term, Ross also will be required to pay four mandatory fines of $100,000 for each of the trafficking offenses.
