For his more than 50 years of public service, former Caldwell County Manager Bobby White received the Order of the Long Leaf Pine at a ceremony Thursday in Lenoir. During his public service career, White also served as Burke County Manager, Grant Administrator for Caldwell County Economic Development, and in leadership roles with Western Piedmont Council of Governments. The Order of the Long Leaf Pine award is the highest civilian honor in North Carolina.
