Happy Public Power Week. Both the Town of Granite Falls and the City of Morganton will have events to celebrate it. On Tuesday, Oct. 3, Granite Falls will host a customer appreciation day at the town office from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. There will be light refreshments and free promotional items while they last. The City of Morganton will give away energy kits filled with energy conserving items at City Hall throughout this week. The city also will share a series of videos with energy and money saving tips on morgantonnc.gov as well as city social media accounts throughout the month of October.
