Santa Claus is coming to the Martin Luther King Jr. Center in Lenoir to give away toys to good boys and girls. The first 100 children, ages 5 to 12, will receive a free toy.
Children will get to visit Santa and pick a free toy based on their age. None of the toys are wrapped, so children can pick the toy they want for Christmas.
TOY DONATIONS
Staff at the Martin Luther King Jr. Center is asking for toy donations to give away during this year’s event. The public can donate new, unwrapped toys for a boys and girls ages 4 to 12 years old, or funds to purchase toys.
People can drop off donations at MLK Jr. Center Monday through Thursday from 8:00 am to 8:00 pm, and Fridays between 8:00 am and 4:00 pm. The deadline to donate for the toy giveaway is 7:00 pm Wednesday, Dec. 20.
“We sincerely appreciate all the support given over the years to the Martin Luther King Jr. Center and to this event,” Martin Luther King Jr. Center Director Lester Whittington said. “We hope everyone has a very Merry Christmas.”
