The town of Valdese has hired Bryan Steen as interim town manager. Steen will take over January 2nd from Eddie Perrou who was appointed temporarily as the town manager on December 4th while the town council concluded their search for a new interim manager. As interim town manager Steen will oversee the upcoming budget process as well as the hiring of both a new town manager and police chief.
Steen served as Burke County manager for 13 years from January 2011 until January 2022.
His previous experience includes managing both Stokes and Hyde counties, as well as assistant manager of Stanley County. Steen also spent nearly 20 years as a master trooper with the NC Highway Patrol.
