Eric Carrol Parker 64 of Alexander County has been sentenced for helping his wife Tangela Louise Parker elude authorities for 6 months after she shot and killed a female co-worker at the TCS Designs furniture plant in Hickory on January 13th of 2021.
Parker plead guilty to accessory to murder after the fact in the shooting death of 51 year old Phelifa Michelle Marlow.
He was sentenced in Catawba Superior Court on Tuesday the 2nd to 4 to 6 years in a state correctional facility. Parker has already served 2.5 years while remaining in pretrial detention.
52 year old Tangela Parker pleaded guilty to 2nd degree murder in September of last year She was sentenced to 20 to 25 years.
When the shooting took place the Parkers immediately left the scene at the TCS Designs facility where they were employed and fled the state. They were apprehended by federal authorities in Arizona in July of 2021.
